Somatosensory perception

We now transition from physiology to somatosensory perception. The familiar concepts from psychophysics (Sections 2.3 and 12.4) appear again, resulting in determinations of detection thresholds, perceived stimulus magnitude, and acuity or resolution along temporal and spatial axes. For example, the ability to detect the presence of a vibration, presented at different frequencies and temperatures, was studied in [26].
